San Sebastián is the 3rd most important film festival in Europe, and our renewed presence there is definitely paying off, making our reputation and professionalism become increasingly known.
We offered flyers and publicity material of DreamAgo and Pavaline in the “Sales Office”, the area reserved for accredited professionals, and the people seemed deeply interested in knowing more about our activities, which makes us think we are on the right track in terms of creative and editorial line.
One very interesting event was the 4th Co-production Meeting, between Spain and France. This forum brings together producers already committed to support some of the 30 projects presented there. The organizers reckon that at least five of them will go into production, more likely those whose subject matter affects both countries (Spain and France). It’s definitely the kind of event for us to think about organizing in the future.
Once again, the San Sebastian festival hosted “Cine en construcción”, a program which allows co-productions between Latin-America and France to find financing or the necessary help to finish filming, postproduction or prints developing…
After attending various editions, it was quite moving to see young Latin-American directors, who made their debut a few years ago and whom we have followed attentively, now becoming recognized for their work and starting a promising career. It was also very nice to hear some of them remembering us and expressing very positive things about DreamAgo.
