Plume & Pellicule is a very international lab which is quite exciting because you really feel the value and richness of the exchange between writers from around the world. There’s a sense of cultural educational that the international filmmakers bring with them. I think the diversity of the mentors is extremely important. They bring their experience to share it generously with the writers. But nothing surpasses the beauty of Sierra: the mountains, the nature, the food and the wine!

Plume and Pellicule is a screenwriter’s dream. I doubt writers anywhere have ever been treated so well in such a magnificent setting. I can only hope this, “Sundance of the Alps”, retains its incredibly intimate feel, as I contribute here to letting the best kept secret of screenwriting workshops, officially out of the bag. A truly wonderful experience.

Being invited to Plume & Pellicule in 2009 was one of the most amazing experiences of my writing career. In the breathtakingly beautiful town of Sierre, participating writers spent a week consulting on their scripts with world-renowned filmmakers. The environment was professional, fun, and above all, nurturing. The generosity of the organisers, consultants, and other participants was incredible. Most of all, my script has benefited enormously from the advice given and the workshopping undertaken. I cannot thank DreamAgo enough for believing in me as a writer and an artist.

My experience at Plume & Pellicule was magical and life changing. To live in this castle overlooking vineyards with a group of creative and interesting individuals from all around the world is beyond a dream. The focus is you… the writer. I not only learned how to significantly improve my script; I learned that without discipline and hard work you can’t transform as a human being and a writer to the depths this workshop shows you possible. I gained more knowledge and understanding as a writer in one week then I had my entire life.

I just wanted to say that your support, ideas and energy are in my head and in my heart and I hope they will be in the film as well. Thank you all so much. Vladimir Cruz, Cuba Stories don’t exist when they are written but when they are received… and “Impostures” started to exist with Plume & Pellicule. Apart form myself (and the translator) nobody else had read my script before. That week was full of information about the feelings and impressions of the first spectators of this project, who came from all over the world. A veritable gift, given with energy and generosity. The workshop made me more keenly aware of the potential of my project.

To be transported to a magical castle and ensconced with only films and filmmakers, with no other outside interference was a writer’s heaven. And in that safe haven, to have my project be examined through the eyes of brilliant coaches, as well as peers, who didn’t want to change my voice, but support it; and challenge me to find the deepest truths of my story and make sure they were there on the page… A gift. I can’t wait to do it again.

By its diversity, quality and by the openmindedness of the participants, Plume & Pellicule whetted our appetites! It made us hungry for cinema, characters, scripts and, of course, high standards. This workshop energised and enhanced our desire to go further and deeper in our writing so that “The Right Profile” becomes a film that lives up to our desires… capable of satisfying us!
